About the Vortex Series:

The Vortex Series counterposes images of the moon with that of a black hole. Both images act as metaphors for the unknowable and for something that remains untouchable regardless of its distance. Formally as well, these works oscillate between positive and negative visual presence, between an enigmatic mass and a luminous hole in the night sky.
